House Insurance

House insurance covers your home for sudden and accidental damage such as fire, earthquake, flooding, storm damage and impact damage from vehicles.

There are several levels of cover from complete replacement of your home in a total loss (no matter what the cost), to indemnity value (present value).

Landlord protection insurance is available as an optional extension to the house insurance.

Contents Insurance

Contents insurance covers your personal belongings, including furniture and jewellery, for sudden and accidental loss (such as burglary or physical damage).

There are a range of insurance options available from ‘new for old’ replacement for most items, through to indemnity (second hand) value. You can also choose where you are covered, from just your home to anywhere in New Zealand.

Private Motor Vehicle Insurance

Motor vehicle insurance covers your private vehicles, such as your car, motorbike, caravan or trailer.

There are three types of cover

  • Full cover provides protection for damage to your car and your liability for damage you cause to third parties.
  • Fire, Theft & Third Party covers your liability for damage you cause to third parties, also fire and theft damage to your car.
  • Third Party Only covers your liability for damage you cause to third parties but does not provide any cover for your car

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance covers you whilst you are travelling outside of New Zealand, whether for business or pleasure.

You are covered for the following:

  • lost luggage, personal belongings, money and documents
  • medical and related expenses
  • disrupted travel
  • your liability and legal costs, including the excess applicable to your rental vehicles
  • unexpected events such as hijacks, terrorism and search and rescue.

Private Pleasurecraft Insurance

Private Pleasurecraft covers you for any vessel from a Launch to a small runabout while ashore, afloat or in transit within New Zealand.

Options include:

  • Insured Craft (at an agreed value)
  • Includes hull, furniture, fittings, sails, mast, rigging, inboard / outboard motors, trailer
  • No depreciation for a total loss
  • Ancillary equipment (<5 years) settled on a full replacement basis
  • Personal effects included unless otherwise insured.

Loan Instalment Repayment

If you are totally disabled for longer than the waiting period because of illness or injury, the policy will pay the policy owner an ongoing monthly benefit. That way, you can take care of your loan repayments – even though you’re unable to work.

Redundancy Cover

This option is available when you choose the Loan Instalment Repayment benefit. You will receive a monthly benefit, equivalent to the benefit payable under the Loan Instalment Repayment for up to six months.
